Eclettico is a not-for-profit large ensemble whose focus is education, outreach, and fundraising. We organize our own recitals, where we collect donations to support local programs that provide musical opportunities for kids. We perform at school assemblies and in classrooms, promoting upcoming concerts, introducing the string instrument family, and encouraging students to begin--or continue--learning a musical instrument of their own.

We believe that by presenting our eclectic repertoire to young people, we are building a bridge between their perceptions of what traditional string instruments are “supposed” to sound like, and the music that they are familiar with and listen to on a daily basis. We can only hope that when they hear us pouring our hearts and souls into a Taylor Swift arrangement, they will gain a new love for our instruments, and decide to try one out themselves.
